AGC to Donate for Humanitarian Aid in Response to the Ukraine Situation
AGC (AGC Inc., Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Yoshinori Hirai) has decided to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the current situation in Ukraine. The company is planning to donate 700,000 Euro (approx. 91 million Japanese yen*) to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
In addition, AGC Glass Europe (Headquarters: Belgium) and other group companies in Europe are providing support to the people facing difficulties such as those displaced from their homeland by matching donations made by their employees.
AGC is deeply concerned and grieved about the situation in Ukraine. We sincerely hope that peaceful life will return to everyone as soon as possible.
*1 Euro = 130 Japanese yen
